Almost every year I visit the State of Washington. Usually it is rainy and cold, but always sooooo very green. We pulled over to the side of the road to take a snap of these local residents having their lunch :).

It isn’t official, but Winter is here! It was almost 70 degrees last weekend and now…brrrrrrrrr. Unfortunately, being raised in Alaska did not make me immune to the cold! Time to get the sweaters and scarves out!

The Insectarium is a small, but great place to visit…I had to get a shot of these little guys. Ok – yeah – so in REAL life – I am scared *hitless of them, but when they are behind the glass I’m okay!

The French Quarter in New Orleans is definitely hopping with activity, but it was nice to see the balconies empty…
…from the boat that is. I really enjoyed the tour with Pearl Eco-Tours about 30 minutes outside of New Orleans. It was nice riding through the bayou and hearing the stories of the people, animals and activities there. It’s a must see if you are ever in Louisiana…
Rocky (got his name from the tour guide; he got into a territorial fight with another alligator which is how he got his permanent scar…don’t worry – he won’t bite! (Maybe) lol
